Why Toddlers Should Not Wear Makeup! Something to Think About
Many parents think that it is so cute to see their little girls getting dressed up and acting like mommy by wearing a little makeup. Of course there is nothing wrong with playing dress up from time to time, but what about allowing your child to wear makeup on a regular basis?
No matter what store you go to you are bound to see numerous makeup kits that are actually designed for little girls, but do parents take the time to look at the chemicals that are contained in these kits? Since they are still so young their little faces are very sensitive and if you allow them to wear makeup too often you could end up causing a lot more damage than you may think.
Some parents feel that it really is no big deal if they want to wear makeup let them. Others choose to make their daughters wait until they are teenagers. Not because of the chemical harm that makeup can cause to their skin, but more because they do not want them looking to grown. If any person wears makeup for an extended period of time it can clog your pores and cause acne to appear. This is especially true if you allow your young toddler to put makeup on.
Clogging their little pores will cause acne to appear at an earlier age, which will then make them want to put on more makeup to cover up the bumps. Parents really need to think, that by giving your child makeup at such a young age you are just teaching them that natural beauty is not ok. Unless they have some type of medical problem that would require them to wear makeup to cover a scare or something similar to that there really is no reason why a toddler she wear makeup.
Take for example putting on eye makeup. Most young children have a tendency to rub their eyes which can then cause little particles of makeup to get in their eyes causing an infection. Why would you want to put your child through that? It would definitely no longer be cute when you have to take them to the doctor for eye medicine just because of makeup or in some cases it may be the emergency room.
You are probably thinking that is something that will never happen if I just let my daughter wear a little bit of makeup. But you may be asking for more trouble then you originally bargained for. Also did you know that a lot of makeup is made from bat droppings? These are just a few things that you should take into consideration before you allow your daughter too begin wearing makeup at a very young age.
