Wichita Falls Keeps Locals and Visitors Busy with Spring and Summer Events

The city of Wichita Falls, Texas shows off this summer with enough events to entertain locals and visitors alike.

MAY
Kell House Museum, located at 900 Bluff, hosts “Teapots, Coffee Ports, Chocolate Pots and Samovars” the entire month. Check out this unique art form Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children. Kemp Center for the Arts

WWE Wrestlemania

AUGUST

Hotter ‘N Hell Hundred Bike Ride & Festival

YEAR AROUND
Wichita Falls Railroad Museum preserves the history of the local railroad business within its walls. Located at 500 Ninth Street, the museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. While there is no admission charge, the museum operates on donations. The museum also offers guided tours and birthday party accomdations.

Lake Arrowhead State Park
spreads more than 16,000 acres. Park activities include fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, horseback riding and more. Opened daily from sunrise to sunset. Cost is $2 for adults, $1 for seniors 65 and older, and children under 13 are free. For more information, call (940) 528-2211.

Lucy Park and Wichita Falls Waterfall, located off Seymour Highway, hosts a variety of events this summer, including outdoor concerts and kid-friendly events. Lucy Park is also home to the faux waterfall fountain, built to replace
