Widow

And the loneliness creeps in
a drafty perception of loss.
My collar upturned with regret,
sweeping loose tendrils of hair
It is freeing in some way,
as I imagine his hands there;
though they no longer touch.
I am finding myself
joined to nothing
but wishful thinking.
