YMCA: Summer Camps in the State of Maryland

As summer approaches, it is time to start searching for the best activities (indoor and outdoor) for your children in your area. Summer camps are a great way to keep your child active with various outdoor activities as well as a good learning experience. The YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) offers information on summer camps all across the USA.

Most of the YMCA’s summer camp programs are overnight camps with a length stay ranging from 3 days to a month. YMCA offers the option of choosing between co-ed camps and camps specifically for boys or specifically for girls. The age requirements for most camps range from 7 to 17 years.

Located on the Chesapeake Bay, Camp Tockwogh is the traditional camp experience for young kids and teenagers. Based on age, there are advanced camps that offer activities such as sailing and skiing. Camp Tockwogh also offers camps for leaders in training and counselors in training.
