About Circusfest Circus Festival in London
The Circus has become popular again in London and the annual CircusFest Circus Festival in London is always looking forth to make a huge impact. The festival showcases different outfits from around the world performing their most awe inspiring acts at The Roundhouse in Camden. CircusFest is not a traditional act with a big top and carnival atmosphere. The focus is on contemporary acts performed by a new generation of circus troupes who are pushing the boundaries of their imagination and bodies. The event also has other side exhibitions that put the spotlight on the history of Circus, photography and the backgrounds of the groups performing at The Roundhouse. Spectators can expect to cabaret dances, acrobatics and dance all fused with the circus.

History:
Even though Circus it self has a long an varied history, the CircusFest is a relatively new concept for London. CircusFest came about due to the dedication of The Roundhouse. The venue was large enough to support the high flying acts and the idea fit in well with the organizations commitment to young adults. The first CircusFest took place in 2010 and took place again in 2011. The 2012 festival has grown and more international acts have been added. -

Activities:
The event is divided up into different acts presented by separate troupes. The main stage will showcase the most exciting display of contemporary circus. The other side stages will be showing acts that are more artistic in nature and can include film, dance and photography. -

CircusFest will start on March 28 and will complete after a month on April 29. -

How to get there
By Tube:
Chalk Farm tube stop is only minutes away from the venue. After getting off at the station head east on Haverstock Hill. This will turn into Chalk Farm Road and you will see The Roundhouse on the right. View Map.
By Bus:
The bus stop The Round House (Stop CF), named after the venue is only a couple of feet away from the entrance. Commuters can hop on bus numbers 31, 168, 393, N5, N28 and N31 to get there.
