City Of London Festival is one of UK’s most celebrated festival held every summer for about 3 weeks duration. The festival was started with an aim to rekindle the culture of the city by bringing forth a host of events and shows held at the most splendid venues this city has to offer. The festival has almost 50 ticketed and 100 free entry programmes of music, films and arts. The festival includes music performances, film screening, lectures, orchestras and guided tours. It is the variety of the programmes and the glorified backdrop of the venues which makes this festival a huge success among the audience.

History
City of London Festival was started in 1962 with an aim to rejuvenate the culture of London. Held for almost three weeks in the city's unique buildings and outdoor areas, with various music and arts programmes; the event is supported by City of London Corporation and the business enterprises of the city. It is run by a registered charity called City Arts trust Ltd. In the recent years the festival added an international dimension to it by the introduction of various themes. For example, in 2005 a Dutch theme was highlighted in the festival, the year 2006 undertoned the unique and distinct Japanese culture while in 2007 the abolition of slave trade in UK was themed at the festival.
