Asparagus and Smoked Salmon Salad Recipe

Asparagus and Smoked Salmon salad is another appetizing dish from the long index of salads adored across the globe. Ingredients:

– 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces
– 1/2 cup pecans, broken into pieces
– 2 heads red leaf lettuce, rinsed and torn
– 1/2 cup frozen green peas, thawed
– 1/4 pound smoked salmon, cut into 1 inch chunks
– 1/4 cup olive oil
– 2 tablespoons lemon juice
– 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon pepper

    It is important to first take all of the utensils and bowls that you are going to use to make this delicious salad and thoroughly clean them. Also, do not forget to wash your hands and all of the ingredients as well. It is also a very good idea to clean or wipe your work surface that you will be using to prepare this salad.

    Boil water in a pot then put asparagus in it and cook for about 5 minutes until it gets tender. Drain the asparagus and put it aside. Remember to be extra careful while you use the stove to boil water as you do not want to get burned.

    Take a skillet and use medium heat after placing pecans on it. Allow the pecans to cook for at least 5 minutes, but keep stirring frequently until they are lightly toasted. Keep an eye on the pecans while you cook them as you do not want to burn them so keep stirring.

    Afterwards place asparagus, pecans, peas, salmon and red leaf lettuce in a large bowl and toss them together. Take your time as you toss the ingredients together as you want everything to mix properly.

    Use another bowl for mixing lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and Dijon mustard. You can either serve it on the side or mix these ingredients with asparagus, pecans, peas, salmon and red leaf lettuce. It is entirely up to you as to how you want to serve this salad to your guests.
