Blackberry Breeze Cocktail Recipe
Blackberry breeze is a perfect colourful drink that is the best possible option for mid-summer sipping. With its tropical flair, Blackberry breeze contains both a sweet and tart flavour of blackberries, which makes them an ideal fruit for using in gatherings. You can find fresh handpicked blackberries in your nearest market late May or early June. Anyhow, you can also use frozen blackberries when they are out of season or if they are not available in your nearest market. In case of using frozen berries you have reduce the lemonade by 1/8 cup otherwise this refreshing drink will become too watery and can lose its charm. This recipe makes five blackberry breeze cocktails but you can multiply the amount of ingredients according to the number of your guests, family members, or colleagues.
Ingredients (serves 5 people and takes 10 minutes)
– 2 x 150 g pun nets blackberries
– 500ml / 2 cups properly chilled lemonade
– 250 ml / 1 cup chilled vodka
– 250 ml / 1 cup chilled raspberry-cranberry juice drink – Ocean Spray brand
– Crushed ice for serving purpose
– Large feta-filled marinated green olives for serving purpose

You will want to first thoroughly wash your hands and the entire work surface that you will be using to prepare this delicious cocktail. Also, wash all of the utensils, glasses and ingredients that will be used. You may want to make this a habit of keeping everything clean while preparing any type of food or drinks.

Take a bowl of the food processor or a jug of a blender and place the blackberries in it. Process or blend the blackberries until pureed. Remember you want a nice consistency to the mixture so try not to over blend the blackberries. Keep checking the texture while you are blending.

Take a fine sieve and strain the blackberries juice into a serving jug. Be careful while straining the mixture as you do not want to spill any of the cocktail mixture on the floor or table.

Add properly chilled lemonade, vodka and raspberry cranberry juice to the mixture. Now mix all of them properly. Remember if you want your cocktail to be a little light then you can always reduce the amount of vodka that you add. It is entirely up to you as to how strong you want the alcohol content to be in the cocktail mixture.

Add ice to the drink and stir properly. Make sure that your cocktail mixture has a nice smooth texture to it.

Now, equally distribute the Blackberry breeze among five serving glasses. You can use any type of glasses that you want depending on your personal preferences.
