The Bond Street underground station is actually located on Oxford Street and is at the intersection of New Bond Street. Interestingly, the main entrance of the tube stop is situated with in the West One Shopping arcade. The Bond Street Tube station was officially opened in 1900 and has had reconstruction done to the building a number of times. The latest upgrade took place in 2007 and the station was brought up to par with other newer locations. The management of the tube station has also decided to undergo further changes to the station to eventually eliminate all stairs from the stop and only use lifts to access the platforms.
