Borough Tube Station London
Borough Tube Station is situated between London Bridge Station and Elephant Castle Station at the Northern Line. As from the name, London Borough Southwark is the area where this underground station was constructed, on the 18th December 1890. In 1922 the station was closed down to enlarge the tunnels of the tube. After three years the station was reopened for the passengers. Borough High Street provides direct entrance and exit to the ticket hall of Borough station. All sorts of facilities which include buying a ticket, journey plan, boarding a train and entrance into the station are available for disabled people along with older and mentally ill passengers as well, dogs are also welcomed. With 2 platforms and 1 fare zone, since many years this station has been providing the facility of transport. In World War II Borough Tube Station gained huge importance because it provided raid shelter to a massive amount of public.
