BRB Residuary Ltd London
BRB (Residuary) was established in 2001, with a purpose to manage, look after and disposition of much of the remaining property of the British Railways Board (BRB). The properties owned by BRB include thousands of structures in addition to various lands and buildings whose management was imperative and thus a specific company, BRB (Residuary), was formed. It also oversees the process of workplace-injury claims lodged by former British Railways employees. The Company is owned by the Department for Transport (DfT) and it’s funding comes through departmental aid and revenues earned from the properties. BRB (Residuary) will continue to function as long as the asset disposal programme continues.
