History:
This Grade II listed building was opened in 1965 as Hampstead Art Center but when it came under the possession of Local council, in 1967, the venue was renamed as Camden Arts Centre. Besides showcasing art work, the management was also responsible for running various courses for artists and exhibitions were also started under the supervision of Arkwright Arts Trust. In 2004, £4.2 million was invested in the venue to renovate it and then it was reopened as the Art Council of London. -

Except Monday, the center is open six days a week. On Wednesday you can plan a visit between 10.00 am and 9.00 pm, while on the other days of the week, the center operates from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm. -

By Tube:
Finchley Road & Frognal over ground station is approximately 420 feet away from the art center and by walk it will take hardly 2 minutes to reach your destination. After taking an exit from the station, head northwest on Finchley Rd/A41, which will take you towards Arkwright Rd. By Bus:
Finchley Road & Frognal (Stop FD) is 446 feet away from Camden Arts Centre. You will have to follow the same route as mentioned above; head northwest on Finchley Rd/A41 towards Arkwright Rd and then turn right onto Arkwright Rd.
