Camp Bestival London

Camp Bestival is one of the most popular British music festivals that take place usually at the end of July each year. Camp Bestival is basically called the little sister of Bestival, as both these events are organised by Dj Rob Da Bank of BBC Radio 1. The arrangement to organise Camp Bestival are made at Lulworth Castle, which is found in Dorset and families along with small children are encouraged to come to this festival. The site of Camp Bestival has the capacity of hosting about 5000 children and 10,000 adults. Visitors can amuse themselves not only with different music, but they can enjoy great food, live theatre acts and fun areas for children. The idea of Camp Bestival was so adored that it not only won the heart of thousands of visitors, but it also won the Best New Festival award in 2008 from the UK Festival Awards.

    History

    Camp Bestival was first time organised in 2008 and artists like Chuck Berry, Kate Nash, Flaming Lips, Dj Yoda, Billy Brag and more had made this event a hit with their thrilling performances. Next year in 2009, the organisers focused on making the camping facilities better than before, as most of people camped near their cars in the car park area in 2008. Moreover, the number of toilets were also tripled in 2009, as Camp Bestival received a tremendous response.

    Besides music Camp Bestival offers a variety of activities. Kids are welcome at Camp Bestival where special arrangements are mede to entertain them while their parents can also accompany them. In addition to this, visitors are provided with four different camping fields where they can set up their camp and enjoy a picnic atmosphere with live music and entertainment for four continuous days. Live theatre is also showcased during this four day activity and a variety of food is available for the visitors of Camp Bestival on different food stalls set up especially for this gala.

    East Lulworth, Lulworth Castle (N-bound, Hail and ride) ‎is the nearest bus stop from Lulworth Castle, the site for Camp Bestival. Bus users can reach Camp Bestival from this bus stop on foot in roughly 8 minutes, as they have to cover 0.4 miles distance. In order to do so, bus users need to head southwest on B3070 and then take several turns before making the final left turn, which will bring them quite close to the destination that can be found on the right side.
