    History:

    In Gatineau, Quebec Canadian Museum of Civilization was established back in 1856. The basic purpose of establishing this venue was to endow people with the human and cultural history. Through estimation it has been known that annually 1,300,000 people pay a visit at this museum, which also makes it the most visited location. Canadian Museum of Civilization was first founded as the display hall for the Geological Survey of Canada back in 1856. It was originally located in Montreal before it was moved to the Capital city of Canada, Ottawa. In 1910 the Museum was further moved into the brand new Victoria Memorial Museum Building, on Metcalfe Street in downtown Ottawa. Canadian Museum of Civilization was originally named as “Museum of Man” but it received a lot of criticism for its chosen name because people believed later on this name would be interpreted as gender-biased. Therefore, it was renamed as “Canadian Museum of Civilization.” With time the several innovative services have been introduced in the museum, so that people can acquire massive amount of education with keen interest.
