Canary Wharf tube station is located in East London and serves Jubilee Line under fare zone 2. The station derives its name from the Canary Wharf area and connects Canada Water station and North Greenwich tube station. Currently, the underground stop takes care of approximately 40 million people every year, making it the busiest station on serving single line. This incredible demand was the reason why the station was built in 1999 after the original station, which shared space with National Rail, could not support the crowds.
The main entrance to the tube stop is made of glass canopies and has numerous other points of entry and exits at Canada Square Shopping Centre on east and west sides, East Canopy on Upper Bank Street, Jubilee Place Shopping Centre from West, Montgomery Walk and West Canopy.
