Catfish pepper soup is very easy to make. This recipe is very popular in many countries including America and Europe. Many people in Asian countries also enjoy eating this delicious soup. Ingredients
  • Onion, chopped - 1 large
  • Chopped celery - ¼ cup
  • Garlic cloves, minced - 4
  • Vegetable oil - 2 teaspoons
  • Chopped, seeded and peeled tomatoes - 1-1/2 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Strip orange peel (about 2 inches x 1 inch) - 1
  • Minced fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - ¾ to 1 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme - ¼ teaspoon
  • Coarsely ground pepper - ⅛ teaspoon
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • Catfish fillet or firm whitefish of your choice (about ½ pound), cubed - 1
Instructions
  1. Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix them well.
  2. Add the spices and salt.
  3. Marinate the catfish with the mixture.
  4. Take a saucepan and put some onions before sautéing its layers.
  5. Put garlic and tomato in it and stir together.
  6. Stir in catfish and bring it to boil.
  7. Your catfish pepper soup is ready.
  8. Serve it as a side dish with dinner.
