Champagne Strawberry Punch Recipe for New Year

This lightly fizzy, fruity, crisp punch is a refreshing drink and with the kick of the champagne taste is pretty mild for those people who don’t prefer champagne that much. Just be careful not to drink too much because once you take a sip it’s hard to not have another. We all love strawberry champagne punch around the holiday festive season because it goes so well with formal meals and it gives you that elegant feel you are looking for.  Throw in a few frozen berries in the bottom of the glass before serving and you have yourself one tasty, irresistible drink! Great for Valentine’s Day dinner as well. Serving a punch like this at a New Years party is a wonderful way to celebrate the occasion with the bubbly sizzle is especially appropriate for housewarming parties.

Ingredients:

– 2 Packages 10 ounces each frozen sliced strawberries in syrup, thawed
– 2 cans 5-1/2 ounces each apricot or peach nectar
– ¼ cup lemon juice
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 2 bottles 750 ml each champagne or sparkling white wine, chilled
– Lemon slices, fresh strawberry halves and mint leaves for garnish (optional)

    Be sure to properly wash all of your ingredients thoroughly. You should also wash your hands and the work area that you will be using to make this delicious punch. Also, take some time to wash all the utensils, glasses and other items that you are going to use to prepare this recipe. Make it a habit to keep your work surface clean at all times when preparing food items.

    Place strawberries with syrup in food processor; process until smooth. Be sure to use only the freshest ingredients for this punch recipe. While in the food processor you will want a nice smooth texture to the mixture. Be sure to check the consistency while blending.

    Pour puréed strawberries into a large punch bowl. Stir in apricot nectar, lemon juice and honey; blend well. Refrigerate until serving time. Always stir lightly as you do not want your mixture to become too thin. You can also experiment with different types of fruit to give the entire punch recipe a nice twist.
