The soup made out of peas also contains lots of health benefits and doctors along with nutritionists recommend this soup for grown-ups and children. You can make this chilled English soup by making it more tasteful by adding some cheese and butter. This is a very easy dish and children also love it. You can try making it anytime as it will not take long and will be ready in just two hours time.
Ingredients
  • For Peas -
  • Water - 3 quarts
  • Salt - To taste
  • Fresh peas, shelled (4 cups shelled) - 4 lbs
  • For Soup -
  • Extra virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling - ¼ cup
  • Fresh ground pepper
  • For Croutons -
  • Cubed bread - 1 cup
  • Unsalted butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
Instructions
  1. Wash all the utensils before making your dish. Washing all the tools and utensils will make a good impression and it will also give you health benefits.
  2. For making peas, first take some amount of water in a large saucepan. Put it onto the stove and boil the water.
  3. Later add some salt in the water for developing and enhancing the taste. This is also important that you should not put extra salt in the water as it will sour the mixture of peas later.
  4. Put peas into the boiling water and stir firmly.
  5. Cook peas on moderate heat and keep stirring for 20 minutes.
  6. Drain the peas and set aside for some time.
  7. Now start preparing the soup. This will take further half an hour and by the time you will finish making this delicious dish, you can serve it but first get make your own croutons.
  8. Now add the diced bread and brown cubes put it onto the stove. Cook this mixture for five minutes as your crouton is ready.
  9. Put all the prepared and cooked mixture into the refrigerator and serve it.
