Clarence House Art Gallery in London
Clarence House is the name of Royal Residence in London where current Queen Elizabeth, and Duke of Edinburgh, her husband, lived for nearly 50 years. This house is to be found in the City of Westminster at Stable Yard Road. Clarence House has four storeys, including a basement as well. In the present days, The Duchess of Cornwall and The Prince of Wales along with Prince William and Harry reside in the Clarence House, as it is their official residence. During summers, Clarence House opens up for the general public which visits this famous Royal Building either in groups or arranged guided tours.

History of Clarence House:
Clarence House was constructed between 1825 and 1827. It was designed for the Duke of Clarence, Prince William Henry by John Nash. The Prince lived in this house between 1830 and 1837 as King William IV. The current Queen Elizabeth, then Princess, and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh later became the residents of Clarence House after they got married in 1947. The Queen lived here till 2002 from 1952. -

Tickets and Entry:
The tickets for adults cost £8 usually, whereas for visitors below 17 years, the charges are £4 and children under five years can access Clarence House free of cost. Concessions are also available.
Note: It is advised that visitors should book their tickets in advance. -

Operational Hours of Clarence House:
Clarence House opens only in the months of summer between August and September and during that period its operational hours generally remain from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on a daily basis.
Note: Last entrance can be made until 3:00 pm. -

How to Get to Clarence House:
By Tube
Green Park tube station is roughly 7 minutes walk away from Clarence House as the gap between them is about 0.4 miles. Therefore, if a commuter heads northeast on Piccadilly/A4 towards Berkeley Street from this London Underground station and then turns right onto St. James's Street/A4. He or she will reach a right turn onto Little St. James's Street, after which the patron will turn left by staying on Little St. James's Street to locate the destination on the left side in 7 minutes. By Bus
St James', Pall Mall St James's Palace (W-bound) is 2 minutes walk away from Clarence House as the distance between them is no more than 0.1 mile. So if a bus user heads southwest on Pall Mall/A4 towards Cleveland Row then, turns left onto Cleveland Row and then turns right onto Little St. James's Street, he or she will find the destination on the right after 2 minutes.
