Competition Commission London

The Competition Commission (CC) is a self-directed public body that ensures healthy competition among corporations or companies in the United Kingdom for the definitive benefit of both economy and consumers. This independent body come into being on April 1, 1999 when it replaced Monopolies and Mergers Commission. The work of this public body includes comprehensive investigation of markets and mergers, plus certain functions related to the main regulated industries.  Reviews of undertakings and Regulatory references and appeals are also a part of Competition Commission’s work practice. However, The Competition Commission only takes on inquiries that have been referred to it by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).

    How to Get to Competition Commission:

    By Tube

    Holbron tube station is 0.4 miles away from Competition Commission, which makes it an 8 minutes journey by walk. Patrons need to head out south on Kingsway/A4200 towards Gate Street from the Holborn tube station then, turn left onto Sardinia Street from where they should turn right onto Portsmouth Street. This will lead them to the left turn onto Portugal Street from where they have to turn right onto Carey Street in order to find the destination on their left side. View Map

    By Bus

    Bus users can take any of these bus numbers 11, 23, 26, 76, 172, N11, N26 and N76 in order to get to The Royal Courts of Justice (M) that is the nearest bus stop to Competition Commission, about 0.2 miles away and 4 minutes by walk. After arriving at this bus stop passengers should head east on Aldwych/A4 in order to get to Competition Commission. Then, turn left towards St. Clement's Lane from where turn right onto St. Clement's Lane and continue onto Grange Ct. This will guide them to the right turn onto Carey Street from where it would not be a problem to locate the destination on the left.
