Credit Card Transaction Dispute Letter

While using plastic money, you may find yourself in a situation where you become the victim of unfair billing. It can be anything like your merchant putting the wrong amount in the receipt or they charged for something which you did not purchase. Sometimes, your credit card company can charge you for late payment despite of the fact that you cleared your debt in time.

In these kinds of situations, all you need is to write a credit card transaction dispute letter to the relevant authority. In this letter you need to provide the complete information of the company, amount, account number, transaction number and description of that transaction.

In the opening paragraph of your letter, you should come to the point straight away so that your addressee starts reading your complaint without any ambiguity. Provide your addressee the complete information of your account/card number, transaction number, date of that transaction and the disputed amount.

Use the second paragraph to give the reason of your complaint and request a proper investigation regarding this matter. Remind your addressee to check the attached documents.

Next you will provide your contact information and then close the letter with proper greeting.
