Difference between Apple Ipad Mini and Lenovo Ideatab A2107a

Apple and Lenovo are using entirely different strategies in the tablet market. In a competitive market like tab market, it is all about playing different tactics. Apple produces unique gadgets, but still it is all about presenting the product differently than other manufacturers.

Apple has made a huge impact by releasing a 7-inch tablet; iPad Mini. Although Lenovo IdeaTab A2107A is also powered by good hardware, the Apple device has a bigger audience.

There is a long list of differences between these two tablets, and the biggest one is hardware. iPad has 1GHz Dual Core A5 processor as well as 512MB RAM. On the other hand, Lenovo IdeaTab A2107A is powered by 1GHz MTK Cortex A9 Dual Core. With 1GB RAM, it holds a slight edge over iPad Mini.

There is a slight difference between their resolutions. iPad Mini has a  7.9-inch body, and offers a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. On the contrary, the 7-inch Lenovo tab provides a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

There is a difference between their operating systems. Apple has its own operating system, while the Lenovo tab uses Google-powered Android OS v4.0.4 ICS. When it comes to dimensions, iPad Mini is thinner and lighter as compared to Lenovo IdeaTab A2107A.

    iPad Mini

    Released in November 2012, iPad Mini hit the market with two different models, Wifi and 4G. It is available in Black/Slate and White/Silver. Although the hardware is not equally strong, it is thinner, lighter and smaller than the new Apple iPad. The user, however, feels no major difference between the two brothers, because the mini one is as fast and smooth as iPad.

    It has the dimensions of 7.9 x 5.3 x 0.28 inches, which means that you can easily hold the device in your hands. The tab is released in three different sizes, ranging from 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The tab is powered by two cameras. The rear camera is of 5 MP, while the front-facing cam is of 1.2MP.

    Lenovo IdeaTab A2107A

    The device was released in January 2013. There are a few differences between the 3G version and Wifi version. The latter has 512MB of RAM. It runs Ice Cream Sandwich, but can be ungraded to Jelly Bean.

    The cameras are not powerful though. The back camera is of 2MP, while the front one is of 0.3MP. It offers a microSD, so one can easily expand the storage capacity.
