Although the basic purpose of Aspirin and Tylenol Acetaminophen is almost the same. However, there is a considerable difference between the chemical composition and side effects of both the medications.
Aspirin is a German medicine while Tylenol is an American brand of drug. Aspirin is used for pain or ache relieve. Moreover, it is also used to stop cardiac tissue from a potential damage just after the heart attack. However, ii can cause irritation in the stomach if it is used without any kind of food intake. On the other hand, Tylenol is also used for reducing fever and getting rid of pain. But, it doesn’t cause any kind of irritation in the stomach.

Aspirin
It is a salicylate drug which is used to get relieve from minor pains and aches. In addition, it is used as an antipyretic in order to reduce fever. Besides, it is also used as an anti-inflammatory medicine. It was isolated in 1897 by famous chemist, Felix Hoffmann who worked with German company, Bayer.
It is also known as acetylsalicylic acid. Furthermore, it contains salicylic acid which is the main metabolite and is a major part of metabolism in human beings and animals. It also prevents strokes, heart attacks and blood clots. It is also given as a dose to prevent the cardiac tissues from damaging after heart attacks. Additionally, it helps in preventing some particular types of cancer which mainly include colorectal cancer. Its main side effects include gastrointestinal ulcers, tinnitus and stomach bleeding which is often caused due to high dose.
It is one of the most extensively used medicines in the world. Around 40,000 tonnes of aspirin is consumed throughout in one calendar year.

Tylenol Acetaminophen
It is an American drug which is used to reduce fever and pain. It provides relieve from cold, flu, cough and allergies. It is commonly known as acetaminophen (INN paracetamol) around the world. The brand name has been derived from the chemical compound from which the medicine is made. Moreover, you should know that this brand is in the ownership of McNeil Consumer Healthcare which is a subsidiary company of Johnson & Johnson.
It is also considered as gastric-friendly medicine and a very good alternative to aspirin. Besides, it doesn’t cause any kind of pain or irritation in the stomach even if you take it without eating food which is its plus point as compared to its alternative.
