Difference between Mexico and New Mexico

This world is full of amazing places.

You may consider Mexico and New Mexico as the names of the place, or a place within a place, but there is a huge difference between them, the biggest one being that Mexico is an independent country, while New Mexico is a state in United States of America (USA).

There is a massive difference between the populations of these two places. Their area and location on the world map is also totally different. The people living in these two areas have different cultures, traditions, and norms.

If you need to visit either of these two places, you need separate visas. Although Mexico is a part of North America, it has hardly anything to do with USA. The currency used at both places is also different, and so are the economic conditions.

    New Mexico

A part of the Mountain states, New Mexico is one of America’s many independent states. It is located in the Western and Southwest region of the country and is America’s sixth largest populated states.

Hispanics form the biggest part of New Mexico’s population. This community consists of the descendants of Spanish settlers and Latin American immigrants. As far as the native Americans are concerned, this state has the third largest number after Oklahoma and Alaska.

Just like many other states, the chief administrator of the state is called ‘Governor’. Its flag has two different colours; red and gold. These colours represent Spain, while the Zia symbol on the flag is a representation of the native American sign for the sun.
