Difference Between Virulence and Pathogenicity
Virulence and Pathogenicity are two different terms but many consider that both have the same meaning and serve an identical purpose. On the other hand, study shows that Virulence and Pathogenicity are different in every capacity. Pathogenicity is an organism which can cause disease while the extent of ability to cause a disease is called virulence. This is the main and most important difference between Pathogenicity and Virulence. Pathogenicity is a qualitative measurement while virulence is quantitative measurement as it has negative effect on the host as well. The way in which these are measured is different as the entire basis of the way these affect the human body or immune system is slightly different as well. Basically the disease is an outcome of both organisms relationship. Various factors do play a key role in virulence and pathogenicity’s relationship as well.

Virulence
The exact measurement and the ability to cause a disease in host is called virulence. Describing quantitative negative on the receiving host, the virulence which causes diseases is an important factor of the entire process. The two important factors including nature of the host and pathogen make genetic bond. The human immunity system and animals’ immunity system also effect on various negatively host transmissions. High virulence result in host mortality while low virulence is sort of has negative impact on the overall pathogen fitness. Basically virulence factors are the main problem in human bodies which causes different types of diseases as well. In virulence, the genes are coded while some also say that virulent bacteria and viruses create those codes.

Pathogenicity
The little microorganisms which has ability to cause disease in human body, plant or animal is basically part of Pathogenicity. In host organisms, the pathogens can be removed but overall you need to understand that these little organisms certainly destroy the defensive system in the body and weaken it. The disease is outcome of the relationship between virulence and pathogen and mainly the resistance to host. Virulent factors also play a huge role in it. The enzymes which also show that virulent factors are outcome of within substances of little organisms can cause further diseases as well. It also includes host cells with toxin which kill other cells and the substance alters the normal cell growth. This is why they do so much damage to healthy or normal cell growth. The human body is unable to correct this issue and serious problems start to occur.
