Difference Between Vision and Mission Statement
Mission statement and vision statements are two different terms but at the same time closely related. Both terms are part of strategic planning for different successful organisations. Mission and vision basically define present and future goals of an organization but with a slightly different perspective. The core value of a business and why it exits is called mission statement while vision statement refers to employees benefits attached to a company as it also serves as an inspirational written tool for employees. Mission statements also focus on a company’s different product lines and to describe the real purpose of the organisation.

The core value of a business or a company rests in the mission statement. The main purpose of the business along with inner discussion regarding the outcome of any specific business comes under mission statement. Mission statements are used by leaders of the companies as they compare their companies with other organisations. Mission statement distinguishes a specific company to other organisations as well. In mission statement, different product lines of a company are also being discussed in detail. Though mission statements are created for outside world, but it is also used within companies as well. The majority of employees look at a company’s mission statement to gather information regarding goals and quality commitments. For a more simple understanding, mission statement is just like a snapshot of an organisation. It is mainly about present business goals and talks about a specific result regarding any new product line. The purpose and objectives are also discussed in mission statement along with different services of a specific company.

Vision statement
Vision statement works as an inspirational tool for all of a company’s employees. They give great deal of respect to vision statement as it also serves as written statement that tells them where their company is standing and where it will be in a few years time. Basically the vision statement is a guide for the future as to where the company wants to be and what they want to successfully achieve. By looking at the vision statement of a company, you can easily see what direction the company is working towards for the near future. In vision statement, different suggestions are also made by the leaders who want their employees to perform a good job during every task. It also gives important information to all the employees as to which code of conduct to adopt while achieving your goals.
