Difference between Vitamin B and Vitamin C

Vitamins are essential for good health and well being of every living person and their importance cannot be denied by anyone. It is highly recommended that you and everyone in your family gets the correct amount of vitamins in their daily diet and maintain that throughout their lives to avoid any problems and difficulties later on.

Both vitamin B and C are water soluble and are passed through urine if there is excessive intake, which may result in toxicity. Like any other vitamin, of which there are many to be found, taking a proper amount can mean the difference between health and sickness. Each vitamin has its own benefits, and this rule also applies to vitamin B and vitamin C.

    Vitamin B

    Vitamin B refers to a complex group of vitamins, which are considered to be a total of eight. These vitamins that mix to form vitamin B are Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Pyridoxine, Cyanocobalamin, Folic Acid and Biotin. Vitamin B is found in a variety of natural food items like meat, tuna, yeast and other great sources of carbohydrates. Egg yolk is also another good source of vitamin B.

    Without enough vitamin B in our systems, you will feel more tired and fatigued at times than normal, along with difficulty concentrating along with sleeping. This group of vitamins is also essential for cell metabolism and is highly recommended during exercise and when being involved in intense workout routines.

    Vitamin C

    Unlike vitamin B, vitamin C is found only in one form, which is ascorbic acid and not in any other. The most well known source of this vitamin is without a doubt in fruits and vegetables, namely the orange.

    Not having enough vitamin C in your body may result in bleeding gums and weakness, along with nose bleeds and may even lead to scurvy if the deficiency levels are too high. Another aspect about vitamin C is the fact that this is not one of those vitamins that the body is able to store, but instead, this needs to be replenished on a daily basis.

    This vitamin is also extremely important for a healthy immune system and without it, humans would not be able to function at full capacity due to the fact they would be more vulnerable to sickness when vitamin C levels are lower than normal. Processed food obviously has less potency when it comes vitamin C.
