Donation Letter for Children
Funds for all charitable causes are collected through donations and fund raising events. People and organisations intend to donate generously for the causes of children. All the individuals and organisations should be approached through proper request letters for donations, highlighting the cause, your contribution as an individual or an institution and impact of your activity on changing the lives of children.
The letter should start with name of person with title added before it i.e. Mr/Ms, designation of person if it is an organisation and name and address of the organisation at the end. It should aligned at the top left of the letterhead paper or MS document.
Also, the letter should be duly dated, just below the name and address, aligned to the left to right, and then opening salutation.
Letter’s body should start with an introduction of your organisation and yourself, and a bit history of your work and your organisation.
Next para should include cause you are serving, and its importance for having an impact in the local communities, especially on children’s lives. It should include an information about lack of efforts in the public sector or private sector towards the cause, overall, and role of independent or charitable organisation to make for the absence of actions.
Last paragraph should include information how you are managing the work on a self-help basis, by collecting funds through individual and organisational contributions. You should emphasis how important was the contribution from the intended individual or organisation in smooth working of your organisation and serving of the cause.
Letter should conclude with an invitation to the person or any member of the organisation to personally see how you work and if possible meet children you serve.

Child Protection Council (CPC) has been working for protection and safety of street children since 1967. It all started with efforts of a couple of people, and since then we have grown to an organisation of 54 members at present. We have been able to protect hundred of street children and rehabilitated them back into mainstream communities.
We would like to bring to your knowledge over the plight of the street children due to lack of efforts at the government level or private sector. Hundred of missing children are prone to harsh weather conditions and different street crimes, unless they are rehabilitated into community life again. CPC has been actively serving the cause in cooperation with its network partners such Police Department and Social Services Department. We have saved lives of many children, found helpless on streets of the city, vulnerable to all sorts of abuse.
We are pleased to mention that our organisation solely works through contributions from philanthropist and kind donors as your organisation. We always give weigh to our donors' contribution towards the remarkable cause of street children rehabilitation.
