1.Take four lemons (for the whole head) and squeeze their juice out into a small cup.
2.Fill half the cup with water now and stir the mixture.
3.Pour the lemon juice and water mixture into a spray bottle and shake it for a minute.
4.Now spray your hair with the mixture and use a comb alongside to ensure all strands are coated.
5.Head out now to soak some sun. You can use a sunscreen lotion for your face and neck, but your hair need to be exposed to the sun’s rays for the lemon juice to have a lightening effect.
6.After about an hour, you can return inside and wash your hair thoroughly.
7.Repeat this process twice a week until you attain the lighter shade you desire.

Pick a Brighter Shade Than the One You Want
Since you don’t want to bleach your hair, you will need to pick a shade brighter than the one you want so that the end result is closer to your expectations. For instance, if you want to move towards blond (you can’t have pure blond hair unless you bleach), you will have to pick a very light shade of blond to get an average result on your black hair.
