Effective Resignation Email
When writing an effective resignation email, you need to take care of few things. You cannot just inform the company that you are leaving. In fact, you have to provide them the reason for your resignation.
In the first paragraph of the email, you inform your manager or any particular department about your plan to resign from your position at the company, along with the reason.
Next, you can explain how the company benefited you during your tenure at the organisation.
Lastly, you can end the email by wishing the company best of luck.

Dear Sir,
Please take this email as my resignation from the post of Assistant IT Manager at Alpha Technologies, as I am moving to Oklahoma next month, along with my family. It was never an easy decision to make, however, I have to move along with my family, which I cannot avoid.
I will serve my transition period at the company till July 10, 2013, and during this period, if you need any assistance on any project, do let me know.
I really enjoyed working at the Alpha technologies and wish the company best of luck for all its future endeavours.
