Export Credits Guarantee Department London

Export Credits Guarantee Department of UK (new name Export Finance Department) helps investors and exporters of UK through export guarantees and insurance policies. It was founded in 1919 for the promotion of exports from UK during a major loss in first World War submarine blockade. The department works under the 1991 Export and Investment Guarantees Act and performs activities in harmony with HM Treasury. The Export Credits Guarantee Department safeguards British exporters against non-payment by their overseas purchasers and helps overseas buyers by giving them guarantee against bank loans. It also insures UK’s investors against other countries’ markets against risks generating from their political instability.

    How to Get to Export Credits Guarantee Department

    By Tube

    From the Canary Wharf tube station, move north on Upper Bank St toward Canada Square. Turn right onto The South Colonnade and right onto Montgomery St. Turn left toward Preston's Rd/A1206 and then right toward Preston's Rd/A1206. Turn right onto Preston's Rd/A1206 and take slight right to stay on Preston's Rd/A1206. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Marsh Wall and turn left onto Limeharbour to reach the Export Credits Guarantee Department of UK. View Map

    By Bus

    Use buses numbering D3, D6 and D8 to reach bus stop of Harbour Exchange Square (Stop P)‎‎. From the bus stop move south on Limeharbour toward Harbour Exchange Square, and you will find the Export Credits Guarantee Department on your left.
