Formal Resignation Email

After finding a new job, people usually discuss it with their supervisors at the organisation, informing them about the departure plan. To make it formal, one has to write an email to the HR department, or to the immediate supervisor, stating the details about your resignation.

In the first paragraph, you have to clearly mention your intentions of leaving the company, and the reason why you chose to do so. In the next paragraph, you have to mention the date when you will be leaving the organisation, which can be according to the company’s policy regarding notice period. In the preceding paragraphs, you can thank your supervisor and the company for the opportunities that you were provided with during your experience in the company.
