German Potato Salad Recipe

Potato salads are basically made with boiled potatoes and are very popular in countries such as Germany and England. The German Potato Salad does not include mayonnaise in it and ingredients such as vinegar and oil are used instead. This is a major difference between the salads made in the United States and the ones made in Germany.

The German Potato Salad also contains slices of bacon and is mostly served with sausages, which is a very popular dish in the European country. The salad usually takes close to an hour to be made as potatoes are boiled and different ingredients are added afterwards.

Add all the diced peeled potatoes in the deep pan and add water to it until the potatoes are fully covered. Place the pan on deep heat on the oven and wait for a boil. When the water reaches a boil, cook the potatoes for another 10 minutes to make sure they are cooked from inside also. To check whether they are done or not, pierce a potato with a fork and if the fork enters easily, the potatoes are done. Drain the potatoes and place them in a bowl to cool
