Goodge Street Tube Station London
Goodge Street Tube Station, located on Tottenham Court Road is one of the 8 underground stations that were used as deep level air raid shelters during World War 2. The station started its operations in 1908 and underwent several changes over different times. Currently the station serves the Northern Line and is considered to be a highly busy tube station. Although the Goodge Street tube station is one of the busiest stations, the flow of traffic is normally one sided, i.e. there’re a few entrances when mostly people are exiting.
The Googde Street tube station is facilitated with hassle free options for disabled travelers, but there’re no escalators, instead lifts are still in use. The entrance of the tube station is from Tottenham Court Road, which is also the exit point.
The area in the surroundings is mainly commercial and you can find a great deal of places to eat out, entertainment, and public services centres. Places to explore near Goodge Street Tube Station.
