Homemade BBQ Chicken Sauce Recipes

There are many kinds of BBQ chicken sauce which you can easily make at your home. But, Neely’s and Kansas city-style BBQ sauce recipes are the two most widely used sauces around the world. If you want to make them for your family and friends, you can take help from the given steps.

Ingredients:

For Neely’s BBQ Sauce:
– 2 cups ketchup
– 1 cup water
– 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
– 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
– 5 tablespoons light brown sugar
– 5 tablespoons sugar
– 1/2 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
– 1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Kansas City-Style BBQ Sauce:
– 2 tablespoons neutral-tasting oil, such as grapeseed or vegetable
– 6 cloves garlic, smashed
– 2 tablespoons tomato paste
– ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
– Pinch ground cloves
– 2 cups ketchup
– 2 cups water
– 1 slightly heaping tablespoon chilli powder
– 1 tablespoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
– ½ cup cider vinegar
– 1 tablespoon kosher salt
– 1 tablespoon soya sauce
– ¼ cup dark molasses
– ¼ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 2 teaspoons English-style dried mustard
– 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
– 1 bay leaf

    Neely's BBQ Sauce

    In order to make the Neely’s BBQ sauce, take a saucepan and add water, sugar, cider vinegar, brown sugar, black pepper, onion powder, mustard, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce into it. Then, place it on the medium heat stove in the beginning and then turn it to low heat after half an hour. Keep stirring and cook for around 75 minutes. After that, take it owl in a bowl and put it in small cups along with your BBQ chicken.

    Kansas City-Style BBQ Sauce

    To make the Kansas city-style BBQ sauce, take a medium saucepan and pour some oil in it. Place it on a medium heat flame on the stove. The add the tomato paste, chilli powder, allspice, garlic, cloves, cook, red pepper and paprika stirring until the mixture becomes dark brick red (it will take around 3 minutes). Then, add the vinegar, molasses, ketchup, water, salt, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire, mustard, bay leaf and black pepper in the pan. You have to stir it gently and cook it for around half an hour. Serve it by taking the bay leaf out of it.
