How to Add Amazon Ad Code to a WordPress Blog
If you own a WordPress blog and you are getting a decent amount of daily traffic on it, then you should know that you can earn a little cash using Amazon Affiliate Program. The affiliate program allows you to display Amazon products ads on your blog, and whenever a buyer purchases something through your blog, some percentage of the income is deposited in your account.
You do not need to be an expert of HTML, in order to display ads on your blog. In fact, the process is really easy and even a novice blogger can do it in few minutes.

First of all, you will have to create an Amazon affiliate membership account. You will have to provide your name, username, email, information on how you want to receive the payments and some other information needed by the website.

Visit the Amazon Affiliate Program page and sign in to your account. On the Affiliate main page, locate the “Links and Banners” tab, and click on it. You will now on Product Links page, where you should click the "Add Product Links Now” link.

You will now see a drop down menu within Amazon's product line, where you have to select the category of the products you want to display on your blog. If you want to sell a particular product, then you can also enter the ASIN/ISBN of the product, to check if it is available for sale on Amazon.

If you select a particular category, you will see more than results on the search page. Click "Get Link" option for the product you selected.

Now select the type of link you want to display on your blog. The best way to display the ad is to select “Text and Image”, as it will display both things on your blog, giving the product more exposure. Otherwise, you can also select either one of text and image. Customise the colour of your ad, and copy the HTML code under the colour settings.

Now login to your WordPress Blog and create a new post. Write a small article about the product you want to sell on your blog. Once you are done with writing the article, click on HTML, located at the top of post entry field. Now you can click in the article, where you want your ad to be displayed. Paste the product’s HTML code, which you copied from Amazon.

Click “Publish” and you will now have a new post on your blog, with an Amazon ad being displayed in it.
