If You Want to Listen
Not everyone is trying to avoid these religious people. If you are actually interested in what they have to say, than there is a way to do so. They are more than willing to grab your interest and try to appeal to your senses about what their religious beliefs stand for and why you may be interested in following. Most of the time, after telling you the basics, they will invite you to come to their church and join the following. Through that, you will be able to learn more and judge for yourself really what the religion is all about and whether it is something that you want to follow. -

If You Do Not Want to Listen
Sometimes, people get annoyed by the continuous attempts to preach at them by religious people belonging to different faiths. Most of the time, people are following their own faith or even no faith at all. It is a general fundamental right around the world to choose your own belief and follow it the way it is prescribed to be followed. No one can force it upon you.
If you encounter such people and do not want to get rid of them in a rude manner, being polite is the way to go in this situation. Generally, these religious people will understand and will try to appeal to you, but being determined to not having any of it, they will eventually come to realize that you are not interested in what they have to say.
There is nothing wrong in rejected their ideas because religion is not something that should be forced and in turn, you may also be able to influence why they should follow your faith and consider that an option as well. Most religious people would love to have a healthy discussion on religion.
