How to Align Objects on Different Layers in Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is one of the most widely used photo editing software. Furthermore, it also provides support to create different graphics and web pages. Almost every designer, photographer and web developer use this software in their work. There are many versions of the software and it is always better to use the latest one so as to avail the new features.

It is not very difficult to align the objects on different layers in Photoshop. All you need is a little time to learn the whole procedure. If you are looking forward to align objects on layers, you can take help from the given steps.

    First of all, you have to open Photoshop on your computer. You can easily open it by double clicking its icon on the desktop. However, if you have not created any kind of shortcut while installing the software, you will have to search for it in the list of programmes by going to the start menu.

    You can use the move tool to align the content of the layers and the groups in Photoshop. If you want to align more than one layer at a time, you have to select respective layers with the help of move tool. Furthermore, you can also select a group or the layers panel. Besides, you can also align any specific point in the image by selecting the appropriate layer.

    Go to Layer > Align or Layer > Align Layers To Selection and then select the necessary command from the dropdown menu. You can access the same commands from the Move tool bar under Alignment option.

    You can use the command of top edges by aligning the top pixel on the respective layer and then the top edge of the border. If you intend to use the vertical centre, you will have to select the vertical centre pixel and centre of the border.  Moreover, you can also use the options of Bottom edges, Left edges, Horizontal Centres and Right edges.

    If you are looking forward to distribute different layers and group in equal proportion, you can use the same options which include Top edges, Vertical centres, Bottom edges, Left and Right edges. You can also align the image layers automatically by giving the command on the move tool bar.

    In the end, don’t forget to save your image. It is better to save the image file in high quality.
