To start with, you need to do a little preparation. You need to prepare the paraffin at least an hour before you start using it. Paraffin wax needs to be melted before usage. The ideal time for it is 2 hours before application.

Start melting the wax. Use a utensil to do so and make sure you use it before it completely cools down. In other words, paraffin wax is best to apply when it is slightly warm. Once you have melted the wax, wait for it to get lukewarm.

You can apply paraffin wax yourself or ask someone to do it for you. Try using a light moisturising cream before applying the wax. Paraffin is a strong wax and you need to keep your skin safe from any disasters that might occur, especially if you are someone with sensitive skin.

Now, use a thick brush to apply the paraffin wax on your face. You need to dip the brush in the wax and then immediately brush it on your face. The ideal way is to start from the forehead. This way, excess wax will drop downwards and you can work your way towards the cheek, nose and chin.

Next step is to immediately apply a gauze mask on your face to hold the wax in place. This is the reason why it is recommended to ask someone else to apply the wax while you lay down with your face up high. A gauze mask will help keep the wax in place.

Now, let the paraffin wax settle for at least fifteen minutes. You need to check the temperature of the wax before removing it.

Start removing the gauze mask once the paraffin is completely cold. The trick here is that all the wax should stick to the gauze mask.

Hold the mask from the forehead area and slowly remove it downwards. All the wax should come out easily since it will be stuck to the mask now.
