How to Attend an Audition
If you have been blessed with performing arts skills and you want to pursue it as a career then showcasing your talent in front of a jury is your best bet. No matter whether you want to be a singer, dancer or actor, you will have to undergo an auditioning process to land on the podium.
Keep in mind that the jury members will judge you not only for your performance but also your conduct. However, this does not mean that you need to join an institution for this purpose rather you can pull things off by following few simple directions.

Be in time:
The first thing you should try is to be in time. You must not give judges the impression that you are unprofessional. Read the advertisement thoroughly and make note of the exact date, time and venue. After reaching at the location, you should sign in properly to register your presence. -

Be well prepared:
You must be prepared to face the jury. Make sure your dress, makeup, monologue and performance is set to fetch admiration. However, you should not act like a robot; be natural in everything. -

Wear suitable dress:
While attending an audition, your dressing is another thing that should be given importance. Just keep in mind that it is not necessary to wear the costume. However, you should wear clothes that are suitable for the character. For example, if you are giving auditions for a salsa then you just can’t walk in jeans and shirt. -

Be cooperative:
If you are unable to go on stage immediately then sit in the waiting area and wait for your turn. You should not create disturbance for others during that time. It is better to sit silently and focus on your performance. There is no harm in talking to other auditioners but make sure you are not disturbing them. Be courteous and cooperative with the staff as well. -

Walk in with confidence:
When they call you inside the audition room, take a long breath and calm down yourself. Walk in with all the confidence, stand in front of the jury, introduce yourself and then give your best shot to convince the jury. -

Show some gratitude:
After delivering the performance, you must show some gratitude and say something nice to the jury. This will definitely help your image.
