How to Automatically Post Your Blog Articles to Twitter Using Twitter Dev Apps

Connect your WordPress blog to Twitter
When you complete the activation process, a status message will come up on your dashboard saying “Twitter requires authentication by OAuth” and you will be told to update your settings. Oauth enables your website to connect to your Twitter account and is also allowed to post tweets on your behalf. In order to trigger it, you have to register your blog as a twitter application on this address - dev.twitter.com. To start the process, sign in from a twitter account. Now go to Twitter Dev Center and register your blog as a twitter application. Now, you need to fill out some general details in order to proceed further;
Name – Write a name of your blog name.
Description – Write a short description of your website or blog.
Website – Provide URL of your blog.
Callback URL – The same URL as above -

After clicking “create your twitter application” tab, you will be directed to the dashboard of your twitter app. Now go to the settings and scroll down the “Application Type” window. The menu will look like this:

You have to select the second option “Read and Write”. This allows the app to do all the important things and your posts will auto tweeted then. After you select the second option, press the update application settings tab and return to the details page. Now, go down and hit the “create my access token” tab to type the new four significant keys you will require when you return to the WP to Twitter settings. These are:

Once you have entered all the keys, click on “Connect to Twitter” tab. If you have entered the correct information, you will receive a message saying “WP to Twitter is now connected with Twitter”.

It's all done, now whatever new post your blog will get, it'll automatically be posted on your twitter account with a link to the latest article!
