People often face the problem of having messy paint edges as it look very odd. If you are about to get your house or room painted, of course you would want it to give a perfect look. For this, not only the colour scheme plays a vital role but the neatness is also of considerable importance. It is often observed that the edges of walls are not given careful finishing and thus despite of the quality paints, wonderful colour scheme and huge expenses, the room fails to give a perfect image.

    Take out all of the stuff

    In order to properly paint the area, you should move out all of the stuff and place it somewhere else. In order to paint the room properly, is important that nothing is kept there, except the utilities required to paint the room. You must not only get rid of the furniture but you should also take care of curtains and carpets, if any. After emptying the room, you must clean the floor, vacuum your walls and let everything dry.

    Fix holes

    There must be a lot of screw holes in your room to hang pictures, boards or other stuff. So you should get rid of them. You do not want to be uncomfortable with these while getting your room painted, so it is necessary that you fix all of these holes.

    Cover your floor with sheet

    You do not want your floor to get stains of paints, so it is mandatory that you cover it with a plastic sheet. You should also secure the edges of your door and windows. If you do not have plans to paint the ceiling; you must cover its edges with a masking tape.

    Get all the required stuff

    Now you should gather all the stuff that is required to paint the area including, paint boxes, brushes, apron and table or a ladder. Remember that, there will be certain points which you will not be able to reach while climbing on something; therefore it is important that you get a table or ladder.

    Paint 3 foot area

    You must not try to paint all the area at once and focus on painting 3 foot area first. After you have completely done painting in a 3 foot area, move forward to paint the next section of wall.

    Remove masking tape out

    After you have finished painting, you should remove the masking tape.
