Baked Zucchini squash makes a pleasing side dish that you can consume without any worries as it contains no fat and very calories. In contrast, it is very nutritious and rich in Vitamin C and K. Since the zucchini is baked, there is no use of oil except olive oil which is a healthy option.
Ingredients
- Zucchini – 1 medium
- Yellow squash – 1
- Butter – 2 tablespoons
- Oregano – 1 tablespoon
- Parmesan cheese – ¼ cup
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Wash the vegetables well under the sink. Now slice them.
- In the meantime, put your oven on pre-heat to 350 degrees so that it is warm and ready to receive the vegetable.
- Now slice the zucchini into ¼ slices.
- The choice of sliding also depends on your own preference of serving.
- Place the slices in a mixing bowl.
- Add in the oregano.
- Melt butter slightly in a saucepan and pour it over the vegetable.
- Mix thoroughly and coat the slices well.
- You can also use olive oil instead of the butter if you want to make it lighter.
- Arrange the baking sheet and spray over with Pam.
- Now place the vegetable slices on the baking sheet.
- Make a single layer so that the vegetables are roasted well.
- Sprinkle over the parmesan cheese and it is all set to go.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven now.
- Bake the zucchini for half an hour or until the slices are well browned and well toasted.
- Take out the baking sheet and season with salt and pepper according to taste.
- Use freshly ground salt pepper preferably as it has an awesome aroma.
- Serve to the delight of your loved ones.
