How To Barbecue Potatoes

Potatoes are probably the only vegetable that is more used as a standalone food item or mixed with other recipes than any other vegetable on your table. One of the most delicious way eating potatoes is to barbecue them. It is an easily done process but can add a new flavour to your food. Having cooked or grilled meat with grilled potatoes has a taste of its own, and is the most liked food item. You do not have to be an expert to barbecue your potato. It does not take your much time either. You can barbecue Potatoes while preparing other food in your kitchen with a little attention paid to them. You can also use the same grill to barbecue potato that you use to grill meat or another food at the same time. Since potatoes do not take as much time to be cooked or grilled, the item can be ready even earlier than your main food item.

Ingredients:
Potatoes of good quality and same size: 1kg
Olive oil: 1 Spoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Grounded black pepper: 1 teaspoon

    Select Quality Potatoes Pieces

    You should pick potatoes of same size and weight. Some markets offer rated potatoes quality. In that case it is easier to buy potatoes of same size. But if that is not available at your store, you just try to be selective in picking up all pieces. Picking potatoes of same size and weight will help you cutting pieces of same size and managing your time, if you barbecue them in their full size.

    Cleaning and Washing Pieces

    After selection of potatoes you clean them with a soft potato brush. Often potatoes carry extra dirt on their skin so when brush them that will be removed. Also used an eye cleaner to remove small eyes on their skins. They can emerge because of extra moisture or if potatoes are a bit older. You can easily remove them with the eye cleaner or may be even with a knife etc.

    Seasoning Potato with Oil and Spices

    Just before grilling potatoes you should season them with a small amount of olive oil with either brush or a small soft cloth. You can also add spices, salt and peppers, to make them more delicious after they are grilled. You do not have add any particular flavour or added spices.

    Grilling and Ready to Serve

    You should grill potatoes at a controlled temperature. With your grill at a higher temperature and your attention diverted can spoil your barbecue plan. You can check with a pork if they are ready. If pork quickly is through it means they are ready. Otherwise, you can leave them for a while, and after they are ready, serve yourself with meat or any other main food item.
