  Consider taking admission in a school where you can get travel-agent major. You can find a list of such schools available on American Society of Travel Agents’ website. Choose a school that is near to your home and check the fee structure carefully.

  Consider taking an online or correspondence course if there isn't a relevant school in your area. You will find a number of courses which can help you in learning about this particular career.

  Take courses in ground transportation, air travel, cruises, accommodations, tours, marketing, sales, money matters, finding a job and communication. A good program will teach you everything you need to know from start to finish.

  Also, if you do not have good computer skills, then you should also take such courses that can help you in learning basic computer skills, as most of travel agents’ work is done on computers.
