How to Blend In Liquid Concealer

Liquid concealer works great when it comes to making skin tone even, hiding blemishes, dark under-eye circles, and generally creating a natural, flawless-looking complexion. Much easier to use than its counterparts that come in the form of sticks or heavy creams, liquid concealer can work wonders – the only trick involved is blending it into your skin properly, to make sure it looks natural and discreet.

Things Required:

– Concealer
– Small-tipped makeup brush
– Face powder

Instructions

To begin, choose a concealer that matches your skin type and tone. If you have oily skin, you might want to consider powder concealers, to keep your skin from looking oilier. Secondly, you will need to choose a subtle, unobtrusive shade of liquid concealer – the most suitable tint will be just one shade lighter than your natural skin tone, particularly if you are going to use it to cover dark, under-eye circles. Concealers also tend to look different in artificial light as compared to daylight, so grab a couple of samples and test them out before you select the shade that works best for you.

Next, dip a small-tipped makeup brush into your concealer – it is important to use a small, fine brush, as this will allow you to apply the concealer with greater precision. Dab the concealer onto the desired areas in small dots. Then, set the brush aside.

Now, you will need to use your fingers to blend the liquid concealer. Before you begin, make sure you hands are clean and dry. Using the tips of your index and middle finger, start dabbing at the concealer. Do not rub, or smear, as this will make it look blotched and patchy – simply dab at it gently. The warmth from your fingertips will loosen up the concealer, and it will start to spread and blend into your skin on its own.

Keep patting gently until the concealer is completely blended, and disappears into your skin. Repeat the same process on all the problem areas you wish to cover on your face. Finally, to finish it off, apply some light, translucent face powder, to set the concealer and increase its longevity.
