How to Burn a CDG File to a Blank CD

CDG is an abbreviation for CD+G, which means “Compact Disk and Graphics”, and a CDG file can be used along with the audio files, in order to display graphics or lyrics along with the soundtracks. A karaoke disk is a good example of a CDG file. Therefore, if you want to create a karaoke disk and you do not know how to do it, then you have reached the right place, as this article will talk about burning the CDG file to a blank disk. The process is really easy, and you can master it in your first attempt.

    Take a blank CD and insert it into the CD drive of your computer. Here, you should make sure that your CD drive has the capability to write data on a blank disk.

    Locate the folder which contains the CDG file which you want to burn on your blank CD. Double click on it to open its contents. Right click on the file which you want to burn on the blank CD. A list of options will appear on your screen. Point to “Send to”, and you will see a sub menu, from which, you should select your CD drive, which contains the new blank CD.

    Open “My Computer” and double click on the CD drive icon which contains the blank CD. You will then see the CDG file which you chose, lying under the “Files Ready to Be Written to the CD” heading.

    Once again, right click, at any empty spot in the window, and you will see a list of options. You should select “Write These Files to CD”, to open the “CD Writing Wizard”. You can also find the “Write These Files to CD” option at the left hand side panel of the window.

    Specify a name which you want to use for your CD, in the “CD Name” field. If you leave the field blank, the CD Writing Wizard will use the current date, as the name of the CD.

    Click the “Next” button, located at the bottom of the program window, to start burning the CDG file to the blank CD.

    Once the burning process completes, the CD will automatically get ejected from the CD drive. If it does not, then you should wait for the confirmation message for the completion of the process, before you eject it manually.
