Be confident and have a smile
You should always have a smile on your face and be confident. In addition to this, you need to speak in a clear and loud voice with confidence. If the person comes out to greet you, you are required to shake his/her hand. Remember to state your cause right away whether you are canvassing for election campaigning purposes, census or any other cause. By this, the other person won’t consider you as a salesperson. -

In case you are in a bad part of the town and someone mugs you, you should avoid hitting back. Do not use a pepper spray and simply give your wallet. This is because your life is much important than your money.
