Thoroughly read the instructions of parents
Before leaving their newborn into your custody, parents always leave some instructions to be followed in order to take full care of their baby. It is important that you read those directions carefully and pursue them as said. The most important things in taking care of the baby includes feeding, changing diapers and making him/her sleep on time. -

Watch closely baby’s feed time
You must try to feed the baby as closely to his/her timetable as possible. Note that it is of utmost importance that you feed the newborn as instructed otherwise they can have some troubles. The amount of their intake is considerably small but they should be fed after equal intervals of time as per the doctor’s instructions. It does not matter if the baby is sleeping, if his parents have asked you to feed him at a particular time, you must wake him up. -

It is of considerable importance that you burp the baby after each feed. Burping a newborn can be a difficult task, thus you should ask the parents and do it as the parents say. -

Change diaper
You must not forget to change the diaper of the baby after each feed. Undoubtedly, the newborns can use a lot of diapers in a day, so you must check his diaper. -

Make him sleep
After you are done with the feed and burping, you must hold the baby in your arms and make him sleep. In most cases, parents instruct that lay the baby on bed after he is asleep and do not hold him in your hands. -

Play with the baby
If the baby is awake, you must start playing with him. Try to keep him occupied and show him colourful things.
