National Pineapple Upside Down Cake Day is incomplete without the cake of the day. Therefore, make sure to get an idea how to prepare this cake and serve it at any cost. There is a very simple recipe involved in the preparation.
Take a 9” x13’ pan, and put one stick of butter in it along with 1 ½ cup of packed brown sugar. Spread the brown sugar all over the pan and allow the butter to melt completely. This will be used as coating of the cake.
In a standard beater, prepare batter by creaming about 2 ½ cup of softened butter along with 1 and 1/3 cup of Sugar. Add four eggs to the mixture one by one while beating along with two teaspoons of Vanilla flavor.
Now, place 3 and 1/3rd cup of all-purpose flour in the beater and add about four teaspoons of baking powder in it. Mix all ingredients in order to blend them thoroughly.
After that, place the already prepared egg, butter, and sugar batter in it. Pour no more than one-third cup of all-purpose flour at a time with half a cup of milk while beating.
Continue beating until batter is formed, adding milk gently.
Take a spatula and evenly spread the brown sugar and butter in the pan. Put some slices of freshly cut pineapple rings into the pan. If any spaces left, fill them with small pieces of pineapple and add some cherries in the center of pineapple rings for decoration.
Spread batter on the top of the pineapple bed and put the pan in an oven.
Adjust the oven to a temperature of no more than 350 degrees and bake the cake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes.
Remove the pan from oven and pull the cake out by cutting through the edges. You can use a sharp knife for this purpose.
Place the pan upside in a dish and allow the cake to cool before serving.
